Associate Technical Director - Dark Narrative Adventure

We are looking for an Associate Technical Director to join a growing games studio with heavy ties to one of the market leaders in narrative-driven, blockbuster titles. The studio is currently working on a dark, narrative-adventure title and needs an Associate Technical Director to work closely with the Technical Director to oversee the technical aspects of the project.

WHO IS THIS JOB FOR?

This role is perfect for a Lead Programmer from the games industry who is looking to step into an Associate Technical Director role and has a passion for the latest tech and identifying how these may best be used. You will have an understanding of the Unreal Engine and the best optimisation techniques for it and will thrive collaborating with and managing team members from all walks of life.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You will research and analyse the best technologies to use with the impact on the project and future use in mind, all the way from engine plug-ins, middleware and beyond. You’ll also work closely with the leads and Technical Director to set the coding tasks and manage the coding process. Along with the TD, you will work closely with Directors across all disciplines to identify where gaming in the industry is headed and implement features which will enhance the experience of the users.
